Robert Aaron Mueller

Lead Counsel
Robert Aaron Mueller, born in St. Louis, Missouri, was admitted to the State Bar of Texas nearly 20 years ago. He graduated from Tarkio College in St. Louis and first came to Texas to attend St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio. He began his criminal law career at the Texas Attorney General's Office as an Assistant Attorney General and then turned to private practice in criminal defense, the field to which he would ultimately dedicate his career.
The well-known and now deceased Travis County Attorney Ned Granger, hired Aaron as an Associate at his well-established criminal law practice almost 20 years ago. Mr. Granger, the former County Attorney (elected 1968-1976), founded his practice in 1976. The firm quickly grew to become the "go-to law office" in the area, handling a large number of criminal cases. The downtown building that houses the Travis County Attorney's Office was re-named the Ned Granger building in his honor in 2002. Aaron worked for Ned Granger for eight years before becoming the lead attorney at Granger & Mueller, P.C. Handling criminal law exclusively, Aaron has served as lead counsel in over 6,000 criminal cases. He has led clients through and, many times, away from charges in each of Travis County's six misdemeanor courts and seven felony district courts. He is known for appreciating the differences and the defenses that every individual possesses. His good judgment and early strategizing have resulted in favorable outcomes for clients throughout the years.
Aaron is an active member of the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Hispanic Lawyers Association, the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and the Austin Bar Association. He is a member of the Lloyd Lochridge, Robert Calvert Inn of Court. Aaron also serves on the Travis County Bail Bond Board, representing the defense attorneys of Travis County. Aaron is a regular volunteer at the Austin State School, a member of the University of Texas Club, and a past member of the Young Men's Business League.

Brendan excelled in academics from an early age and ultimately graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas in 1998. He graduated from Baylor Law School in 2001 and began his career in the area of criminal law soon after. Brendan was hired by Mr. Ned Granger and became a trusted and respected associate at Granger & Mueller in 2001.
Brendan is an esteemed member of the Austin Bar Association, the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He plays an active role, not only within these legal associations, but in our community. At the courthouse, he is known for his well-honed research skills and a strength of knowledge in what seems, at times, like every aspect of criminal law. He is also known for his wit. Brendan has been referred to as a "lawyer's lawyer" due to his strong capabilities and knowledge of the law. Brendan's legal opinions on criminal matters are often sought out by other lawyers in the courthouse. His keen abilities are an asset to our clients.
